Depending on their age, our babies will be offered different experiences. Our youngest will enjoy plenty of love and attention with lots of opportunity for stimulating their newfound senses, e.g. with mirrors, aromas and textures.
Learn and Play
The babies will be able to experience and play with natural toys and interesting items through Heuristic Play and the Treasure Basket, please ask staff for more information. We promise you will want to try it out at home once you have witnessed it.
The curriculum for our babies is based on a sensory one. The older babies will enjoy the introduction of new textures like porridge, or shaving foam as well as beginning to experiment with paint, sand, playdough and water.
The babies will be able to enjoy the fresh country air and weather permitting, will enjoy going out to play, or for walks into the village and have the option of sleeping outside. Children are offered “learning experiences” such as our Mud Kitchen in the outdoor area.
Quiet Times
Quiet times will allow staff to give babies gentle and relaxing massage. We feel it is important for our babies to stimulate their senses and encourage an awareness of the world around them.
In addition to the main playroom there is a separate quiet/sleep room, which has cots for sleeping and prams for a wee shoogle!
Curriculum
Our curriculum is “Pre-Birth to 3” with the aim of nurturing and caring for your child within a calming and stimulating environment.
